First and foremost I must say I am speechless. If you had asked me on all of deadventures whose grave I would have like to have seen most - this is the man. I first learned about Henry Clay in a high school history class and he became to me (although he already was to many) a legend. He was the Forrest Gump of the early 19th century: encountering every critical juncture point of his changing world, never dying.

I am so excited to share more about Henry Clay and my adventures (both in the car and in life) that led me to his grave. I am currently knees deep in Remini's Clay biography; it has become a summer past time to sit on my porch after work, sip on cider, and read about this crazy wonderful man. I'll see you all again in about 800 pages to share what I have learned. |
